Course Description

This course builds upon skills learned in CGS 1831. The student will learn how to plan, develop, and implement a responsive website. Students will utilize tools for evaluating, tracking, and maintaining a website.

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

  1. The student will create a website planning processes by:
    1. exploring best practices to achieve an accessible and competitive site.
    2. evaluating the purpose and goal of a site.
    3. identifying the target audience.
  2. The student will construct a website by:
    1. creating a sitemap.
    2. building a framework using responsive coding.
    3. assembling web page prototypes.
    4. integrating images, multimedia, or interactive features.
  3. The student will use current technologies to implement, test, and maintain a website by:
    1. posting files to a server for viewing and testing code on popular browsers.
    2. evaluating web pages on a variety of devices to insure responsiveness.
    3. exploring available analytical and traffic measurement tools.

Criteria Performance Standard

Upon successful completion of the course the student will, with a minimum of 70% accuracy, demonstrate mastery of each of the above stated objectives through classroom measures developed by individual course instructors.
