Program Summary

This program is offered as a Fully Online program. This program prepares the student for an entry-level position in the support of information systems and technology services in a business setting. Students will learn technical skills in networking, spreadsheet & database programming, Web tools, and information technology security. Students will have the opportunity to learn software application support, hardware configurations & troubleshooting, and data analysis. Students will have the opportunity to sit for the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MOS Excel, and MOS Access industry certifications after completing the associated courses.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Ethically apply, implement and evaluate computer technologies, systems and or programs.
  2. Develop effective support platforms across an organization to include computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  3. Summarize and explain a real-world" experience with a major-related, supervised and evaluated practical work experience internship.

Minimum grade of "C" required in all Major core and subplan courses.

Complete 3 credits from the approved General Education Composition I coursework. Minimum grade of "C" required. This requirement must be completed within the first 24 credits of coursework toward the AS degree.

Complete 3 credits from the approved General Education Social and Behavioral Sciences coursework. Minimum grade of "C" required. Completing POS 2041 or POS 2041H or AMH 2010 or AMH 2010H or AMH 2020 or AMH 2020H will satisfy the course component of the Civic Literacy Requirement.

Students completing AMH 2010 or AMH 2010H in Fall 2024 or thereafter will satisfy the Civic Literacy course requirement.  This requirement is in compliance with Rule 6A-10.02413 of the Florida Administrative Code.
