Course Description

This course consists of supervised clinical experience in a full service veterinary clinic and/or shelter approved by the instructor. 

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

  1. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the duties of veterinary technicians in the field by:
    1. identifying the various duties of veterinary technicians.
    2. reporting on clinic and animal shelter policies.
    3. comparing the duties of a veterinary technician in a full service veterinary clinic and an animal shelter.

Criteria Performance Standard

Upon successful completion of the course the student will, with a minimum of 70% accuracy, demonstrate mastery of each of the above stated objectives through classroom measures developed by individual course instructors.
