Admission to Veterinary Technology (Associate in Science) (VETTC-AS)

Course Description

This course consists of supervised clinical experience in a work place approved by the instructor. (Note: A minimum of 100 hours in a full service veterinary clinic is required.)

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

  1. The student will demonstrate the duties of veterinary technicians in the field by:
    1. performing the various duties of veterinary technicians.
    2. discussing clinic policies
    3. exhibiting professional attitudes and behaviors.

Criteria Performance Standard

Upon successful completion of the course the student will, with a minimum of 70% accuracy, demonstrate mastery of each of the above stated objectives through classroom measures developed by individual course instructors.
